| Description of Sighting | I noticed a bright “star” just above the treeline to the East Northeast (treeline was about 5 degrees above the horizon). the light looked like a planet – very bright and orange like Mars (though Mars was below the horizon to the west at this time.) I looked at it a bit wondering what it was when it began to move to the south and down in an unusual swerving and dipping manner. It went below the treeline. A few moments later I saw it (or another object) of similar illumination emerge a bit to the north and ascend above the treeline, again in swooping motions- as hte light ascended toward the Northeast, it faded until it was no longer visible. Another light faded into view about 10 degrees above the horizon to the east and it was again moving in an erratic manner -swooping a little and traveling toward the south. it flared in illumination to the brightness of the previous object and then faded to barely visible. it continued south for a few seconds before I could no longer see it. I noticed at least three distinct lights – one would flare up along the horizon traveling north (maybe hte previous object had looped around?), and then a second would appear highter up (about 10-20 degrees off the horizon to hte east) it would illuminate (though not as bright as at first) and then fade. At one point, as I was watching the light swoop to the south, I saw a bright strobe like light flash higher and further south by a few degrees. The flash repeated two more times at about five seconds apart. I saw the same flash occur once about ten minutes later further to the north and about ten minutes after that still further to the north, again with a single flash. the lights continued to fade in and then out -seemingly in the same general area to the east northeast. one would appear about every few minutes. The lights were in the direction of the airforce national guard airfield. never seen anything like this. drones? but they flew for over 1.5 hours. UAPSRS ASSESSMENT: Witness description of sighting early in the morning hours with objects primarily visible to the northeast/east is suggestive of satellites being illuminated by sunlight from beyond the horizon. Some descriptions of “flashes” emitted by objects the witness observed are also suggestive of iridium flares or similar reflective flashes produced by satellites or reflective debris turning or tumbling in orbit. |
| Nearby Landmarks | Crater Lake Klamath Regional Airport |
| Latitude | 42.13 |
| Longitude | 121.93 |
| Altitude | the objects ranged from seeming maybe a hundred feet of the ground to a thousand. Hard to tell since it was dark. all depends on how far away the objects were- that was impossible to tell. The airport is 10 miles away. Though these things were moving very fast if they were that far. I doubt they were further than that. |

| Witness Assessment | It seemed to be communicating with the other lights. not putting on a show. the light flare ups were subtle and short (each one lasted for only a few seconds) and the strobes were quick. |
| Additional Information | I plan to check with the airbase tomorrow to see if they were flying any type of drone. The strange swooping/dipping motion could have been drone movement. But the illumination was strange and the duration of the flights were way longer than any drone battery I’ve heard of. |
