DescriptionThe witnesses were driving west on Guernsey Cutoff Road, heading uphill from Princeton to their home on East Rock Creek Road. As they reached the top of the hill in their Ford pickup, they noticed an aircraft approaching them from the west, flying at a low altitude, resembling a helicopter initially. They decided to stop and get out of the pickup to rule out any reflections. The aircraft continued toward them, then abruptly made a hard right turn near the top of the hill, just beyond their location. The aircraft moved slowly along the top of the hill, coming to a complete stop and remaining perfectly still for about 20-30 seconds. Speculations arose, with one person suggesting it might have come from a military base in Montana due to its mysterious nature. It eventually departed at an exceptionally high speed, flying directly over their farm, without making any sound or leaving a contrail. The witnesses, including the witness’s mother, who was their school bus driver, discussed the sighting among themselves. On the following school day, one of the witnesses briefly mentioned the sighting to a neighbor on the bus, who acknowledged it without further discussion. None of the witnesses had encountered anything similar before or after this incident. They did not report the sighting to any authorities as it was an era where such anomalies were less likely to be reported to the sheriff, and they were uncertain about what they had witnessed.
