Description | In 1982, near St. Clair, Missouri, on a clear day, the witness observed a Frisbee-shaped, aluminum-colored object hovering approximately 1000 feet above a rest area along I-44. The object was about the size of a small private plane and had a flat bottom. It was initially thought to be an experimental aircraft from McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. Traffic on the highway came to a stop, suggesting that others also saw the object. When the witness looked away momentarily and then back, the object had vanished, disappearing faster than a normal aircraft. |
