Description | In 1995, the witness was driving west on highway 70, west of St. Louis, near mile marker 185, when they observed a flaming green light with blueish streaks moving westerly in the night sky. The sighting lasted for about 1 to 2 seconds, and the object appeared round with peripheral flame tongues. The witness estimated the size of the object to be about 2 inches in diameter at arm’s length. No sound was associated with the sighting, and the witness assumed it to be a meteorite, noting its unusual color, size, and slow speed. |
