| Description of Sighting | I was looking at the sky along the tree line across the lake from our back deck. I had seen two shooting stars that night looking in the opposite direction. All of a sudden, this big, round, yellow-orange sphere came across the sky following the water, between our side of the lake and the other side. It was like the moon was plucked from the sky and the size of the moon from a distance was right there streaming in front of me. It was so quiet and surreal that I tried to talk myself out of seeing what I saw. There was no difference in air temperature that I noticed. No sound, and nobody I know had seen it. I guess that it was going 30-40 mph. UAPSRS NOTE: Witness followed up to add that they believe the object they observed may have been ball lightning. This is plausible, but the sighting description is nonetheless of potential interest. |

| Witness Assessment | It didn’t seem to show sings that it saw me. It just passed by at an even speed, slightly arcing from higher to lower by about 50 feet. Our deck has trees on the right and left of the property, so I saw it about 100 yards away in the open area. |
