Description | During the third week of October, 1966, the narrator was driving home at approximately 10:30 PM when he observed a bright white light descending in the distance ahead which resembled an aircraft crashing in flames. The narrator sped up to try and reach the Richmond County Airport to see if a crash had occurred, but reaching the area the craft, now changing color from white to yellow, then red, and orange, was still visible further ahead. Once he lost the object, he turned onto the street leading into his neighborhood when the narrator’s car stopped running. Stepping out of the vehicle, a short distance away he observed an ellipical, “Saucer Shaped” craft with a dome on top hovering approximately 150 feet off the ground. There were no visible windows and the craft was an orange/metallic color, with three protruding objects from the base resembling antennae. As the craft drifted off to the south, the narrator abandoned his car and ran the 1000 ft distance to his home. |
