DescriptionSometime in the summer of 2012 (June, July August), I was swimming in the backyard of my house with my girlfriend at the time. It was dark and cloudless out, around 9pm. We were floating in the water, talking and looking straight up at the stars. Directly above us were two stars diagonally across from each other with a short distance between them. I stared at them for a while, and they were completely stationary as you would expect from stars in the night sky. After approximately 20-30 seconds of staring at them, they began to rotate 180 degrees and switch positions. After holding their new positions for about 5 seconds, they switched back to their original places. After another 2-5 seconds, the star in the right (or East) position broke formation by moving to the East and fading away. The remaining star stayed in position and didn’t move again. The woman I was with excitedly asked me if I saw the stars move, and I asked her what she saw. She described the exact same circumstances that I had witnessed. These objects were stationary and appeared exactly like any other star. The movements they executed were beyond what is possible for typical aircraft, and these did not look like typical aircraft.

Witness AssessmentIt didn’t seem hostile.
Additional InfoI feel like what we witnessed that night “winked” at us. We were both looking straight up at the sky, directly in the middle of the sky. We weren’t looking at those “stars” for any particular reason, and I can’t help but imagine these objects (or beings) having a bit of fun and showing us what they’re capable of. If they can look exactly like a star and break the rules of physics and we know them, what else are they capable of?
