Description | On the night of August 5, 2021, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, witnesses observed multiple lights in the sky, exceeding altitudes of 35,000 ft. These lights, which varied in color (green, blue, purple), formed a “V” formation before separating and appearing to dance around each other. This event, which lasted about 5 minutes, coincided with unusual behavior from local wildlife, specifically a neighborhood fox that acted abnormally and as though it wished to enter the witnesses’s home prior to the sighting. The witnesses attempted to record the phenomenon and although they encountered difficulties due to street lamp glare, footage of the phenomenon was successfully obtained (see below). Subsequent attempts to seek explanations from the FAA and Air Force were met with skepticism and unsatisfactory answers, with claims dismissing the objects as “kites,” a response the witnesses found odd and dismissive. |

Additional Info | Post-sighting, the witnesses contacted the FAA, which initially showed interest but later dismissed the sighting as “kites.” This explanation and the subsequent hostile response were found to be odd and unsatisfactory. Further inquiries with the Air Force did not yield any satisfactory explanation, and the witnesses were advised to forget what they had observed. |
