DescriptionIn the late 70s to early 80s, two witnesses observed an unusual, transparent object resembling a crumpled plastic bag in the sky above St Helens, England. The sighting took place in a field near the now-demolished Grange Park High School. The object, about half the size of a full moon, moved erratically and quickly across the clear sky, covering the distance from zenith to horizon in seconds. Despite its speed and irregular shape, the object displayed no lights, sound, or signs of propulsion. The witnesses were teenagers at the time of the sighting.
