| Description | Two witnesses were sunbathing by a community pool in Naples, Florida, when one of them noticed a high-altitude, silver-grey spherical object moving slowly westward towards the Gulf of Mexico. They observed the object for approximately five minutes until it was out of sight. The object appeared as a small, metallic sphere and moved without any noticeable signs of propulsion or advanced capabilities. The witnesses, unable to explain the sighting, took photographs, which showed the object as a white smudge against the blue sky. Object was difficult to discern in images provided. UAPSRS assessment: Witness description is consistent with appearance of a high altitude balloon, although witness(es) said they understood the object not to have been a balloon or other conventional object. |
