| Description | The witness and his son observed a single, very bright light in the northwest sky from their backyard in Decatur, Illinois. The object, which resembled an aircraft but without flashing anti-collision lights, moved extremely fast across the sky from northwest to southwest. As it made its way about 2/3 across the sky, it shot off to the south, leaving only a streak of light and disappearing out of sight. The sighting occurred around 10pm on a clear night and lasted for about 2 minutes. |
