DescriptionIn the early morning hours of March 9, 2018, a Michigan couple returning from a late-night game of bingo in their Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound along Ford Road in Detroit, Michigan, when they observed a large triangular aircraft hovering near the intersection of I-275. The craft appeared to have three bright white lights on the bottom which one witness described as resembling half spheres extending from the base of the craft. The second witness (wife of the first witness) observed red rectangular lights on what appeared to be the rear portion of the craft. As the couple passed beneath it, the first witness, who is colorblind, said the base of the craft appeared “waverly” to his eye. As the couple observed the craft, the first witness, a former member of the military now employed as a science teacher, perceived a voice he likened to hearing someone else’s voice in his head, which warned “you don’t belong here, get away.” The object was temporarily out of view while the couple passed a sound abatement wall, and once they passed it several seconds later the object had vanished. Sometime after the sighting, the first witness began to suffer from various health issues and was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which he suspects may have been related to the sighting.
