| Description | In the summer of 1967, the narrator, a young child at the time, and their friend experienced a series of inexplicable events in Albuquerque. They initially observed a strange bright white light in the sky, different from any airplane, performing unusual zigzag maneuvers. This light reappeared on two subsequent nights, with the third night being especially noteworthy as it stopped mid-air. A group of people, including children and adults, gathered to watch this mysterious phenomenon. During this observation, the narrator’s friend claimed to have seen an orange figure on the school roof nearby. Despite initial skepticism, the friend’s trembling voice and visible fear convinced the narrator to investigate. They saw a luminous seven-foot-tall humanoid figure, orange in color with some black speckling, standing approximately 100 feet away. The figure had an elongated head, a humanoid body with two arms and two legs, but its facial features were obscured due to the brightness. The appearance of this figure left a lasting “flashbulb memory” in the narrator’s mind. Shortly after, the object resumed its flight and eventually disappeared over Sandia Peak. Subsequent attempts to witness the object again were unsuccessful. |
