| Description | WITNESS ACCOUNT: I went to let dog out last evening, standing there and noticing it was a clear night for once and looking across my field a bright orange light caught my attention. It was just below tree top level but rose to just above the trees. the lights appeared to stay on but were also moving in a circular pattern around what looked like the base of a round object. I watched it for about 5-7 seconds and then the lights just went out. Ran in to grab my cell phone. Stood back out for another 10-15 minutes and the same lights appeared just a few hundred meters to the west. Followed same pattern of orange lights. This only lasted 5-6 seconds before I could get my cell out and unlock it, they were gone again. Stood out another 30 minutes and did not see them again. I am former military, and thousands of miles flying, I know what and aircrafts lights are, this was not fixed wing nor rotary aircraft. Absolutely no sound whatsoever from this object. I live a few miles from former Griffiss AFB, I know their flight patterns, when they come in, etc. |
