DescriptionWent outside to feed the dog a treat and saw two orange top-shaped glowing orbs. I quickly called my husband to witness them. We both watched as they rose from the tree line in unison, hovered momentarily and moved together east over the Passamaquoddy Bay, which is about a km away from our home. They moved together then apart and back together a couple times before one drifted away and slowly disappeared. The other one was visible a few seconds longer and did the same. The whole event lasted about 60 seconds or less. UAPSRS ASSESSMENT: Description provided by witness is a very good match for an observation of candle balloons; UAPSRS assesses with moderate confidence that these common objects, also known as “sky lanterns,” likely account for the observation.

Witness AssessmentThis may have nothing to do with anything, but I have two solar lights in my yard that have that same orange glow and it almost seemed to me as if “they” saw them and hovered to observe them.
